A strange voice of reason in the Alex Rodriguez juicing story - Curt Schilling. Schilling thinks all 104 names on the 2003 list should be revealed and put an end to the speculation and hopes the game can move forward. Generally, I find Schilling annoying, but he makes some good points in a solid piece here...one theory on why A-Rod refused to talk to Selena Roberts of Sports Illustrated is because she's got a book coming out called "Hit & Run: The Many Lives of Alex Rodriguez". Agree on having the names revealed as well, but not on Schilling's reason. Those 104 names will not make the other 600 not guilty by association. Just because you passed one test doesn't mean you didn't use drugs, passing several unexpected tests, up to date with the latest technology in- and outside competition will. I'm also getting tired of the relentless focus on the past greats that are being caught, but no focus at all on changing the testing procedures and catching the guys that use it now.
As someone who had the misfortune of reading Jose Canseco's first book, it should be clarified that at no point did he say that A-Rod used in "Juiced", which makes the "revelation" a little suspect in Vindicated (did that ever get published?).
The only thing he cracked him on was being a bit of a machine in his approach to the media/public and not "real".
MLB is not the only league in trouble right now... It is a News of the World article, so legitimacy is unclear, but will be interesting to follow...

The Pro Bowl is actually kind of fun, as coaches bust out creative plays they would never in a real game. And Fitzgerald further proved that he is the best receiver in the league. Something I said before the season...

Well, if MLB won't allow Bonds to have the home run title for doping, then they can't allow A-Roid to have it either. That gives a lot of strength to Bonds' argument that the reason MLB won't honour his accomplishments simply because he's an enormous jerk.
