By "we" I assume you're talking about your "YF" name (for those that don't know, it is short for YankFan). I'm guessing my comments wouldn't fly well with the RPB, but they're acting like a bunch of arrogant old men when it is a group that should be about fun and supporting the game, not tearing it down at arguably its second most important even insofar as MLS goes.

Canada looked horrible first half..down 18..clawed back to keep it to 7...went back down by 13 with 3 mins left in the 4th...then they went to an unstoppable offense and their D was incredible..won the game by 2...with the Koreans in tears wondering WTF just happened.
Ya, with regards to RPB..it's going to be hilarious...no one outside of their inner circle really gives a damn either.

I think the CFL was front page ESPN when Mark Gastineau played for the Lions. Or was that Dexter Manley with the Roughriders (Ottawa , not Saskatchewan) ???
crucial difference is that mls is the highest level of soccer in north america and it's a league which is moving "forward" in catching up with the rest of the world.
level-of-play-wise, cfl isn't even in the same hemisphere as nfl. and it certainly ain't closing the gap.

The CFL is not the NFL , nor pretends to be. It's a great product played by some pretty damn good athletes. Out West here we have no illusions of being considered "big league" like all you dumb fucks in Ontario. We love the CFL for what it is and don't want it to change.It's our league , and were fine with it. Second class? Sure , but worth every penny.
As for your "moving forward" , bottom line is the CFL will still be alive and kicking many years after the MLS has called it a day.
by moving forward i mean they're moving "forward" (not backward or neutral) as far as level of play goes. it's getting better with every passing year. the cfl is stuck in neutral, forever pissing in the wind.
maybe the "great product played by some pretty damn good athletes" is the cancon illusion you're being sold.
don't get me wrong, though, for i don't find the nfl exciting in the slightest, either.
