Detroit also signed Ty Conklin..he had an excellent year as a back-up to Fleury last year....in fact he was crucial to the Penguins success when Fleury went down with an ankle injury
so not only does Detroit get stronger up front..they also remain solid between the pipes

Shadow, I'd say the Wings have actually upgraded in goal with Conklin over Hasek. They no longer have that "who is #1?" question hanging over their heads, and the concern of how that legendary nutjob would react to riding pine.
